BOBSC Bulletin: Mayors Parade

 

 

Forth coming event

 

Mayors Day Parade, this takes place on 14^th June 2014, we would like as many children and parents to take part in the parade. This is the time for our club to show off our uniform and medals they have won from any galas. Would volunteers for this occasion please give there names to Judy Harratt. We would also like parents to help us out on the day, to walk the parade handing out leaflets to promote our club. There is also a theme which is Tour de France. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. We need to assemble in the Court House car park at approx 10.30 am for the procession to start at 11.30am.

This year's Mayor's Gala will be held on Saturday 19th July at Barnsley Metrodome. Registration from 3pm, warm up 3:30pm.

BOBSC Club championships 2014, venue for all events Dearneside Leisure Centre, Goldthorpe.  Start time 6.00pm.

 

Gala one - Friday 18^th July 2014

Gala two – Friday 12^th September 2014

Gala three – Friday 17^th October 2014

 

Closing date for all entries is Sunday 29^th June 2014

The following meet is licensed at Level 3, qualification for County/Regional Championships and level 1 & 2 Meets

 

 

Matlock and District Swimming Club Open Meet, to be held Saturday 27^th September at Matlock, Derbyshire.

Please note that 9 year olds and 10 year olds cannot swim 100m events

Cost of entries: £5.00

BOBSC closing date Friday 11^th July 2014

 

Please hand completed entry forms to Julia Moody and payment to Marie Baker.

BOBSC management committee may deem it not to be financially viable to send a coach if only a small number of swimmers attend any one meet, in the event of this occurring, parents will be informed before any entries are sent.

 

BOBSC Bulletin: REMINDER Manchester Summer Non National Qualifier

 

REMINDER

 

COMAST Summer Non National Qualifier long Course Graded Meet, to be held Saturday 12^th July at Manchester Aquatics Centre.

Cost of entries £4.00

 

Please note that COMAST reserves the right to restrict entries in the interests of safety, time constraints, and to ensure the smooth running of the competition.  Where this rule is invoked the swimmers with the fastest submitted times shall take precedence.  Events chosen for restriction will be at the discretion of COMAST.

REMINDER

Please note date of summer Sizzler is now Saturday 5^th July

Please find attached entry form and information for BOBSC 7^th Summer Sizzler (50M), to be held Saturday 5^th July 2014 at Ponds Forge ISC Sheffield.

As this is our own meet we encourage all swimmers  9 years and over to attend.

9 year olds can swim all 50m events plus 200IM

Any BOBSC swimmer faster than the cut off times can swim for time only.  Please indicate time only swims on your entry form.

BOBSC Bulletin: Harrogate/Stocksbridge/ASANER Results

Please find attached results from the recent Harrogate Spa town Meet, Stocksbridge Sprints and ASANER Youth & Senior Championships.

Tom did achieve the same time and place in 50m breaststroke in both heats and finals. Quite an achievement. He is also the Junior Champion in this event.
