Payment can also be made via the Barclays Pingit app using the mobile number linked to the Gala Account 07950645651, or the QR Code shown at the bottom of this email.

Each payment will require a reference showing the name of the gala and the first name of the swimmer. The reference must be used when making payments to ensure the payment is allocated to the correct gala and swimmer. Separate payments will need to be made for each individual swimmer and gala.

If anyone is unable to make direct payments, payment can be paid to me by cash or cheque, allowing time for cheque clearance (5 working days). Cleared payment must be deposited into the Gala Account by the closing date otherwise entries cannot be sent.

BOBSC Bulletin: Mobile phones

To all parents/guardians/swimmers
In line with ASA recommendations as well as BPL requirements, please can I remind you all that mobile devices with the ability to take photographs are not permitted to be used on poolside or in the changing facilities. This includes their use even if not actually taking photographs. There is an exception to this at official competitions if the photography record book has been signed.

BOBSC Bulletin: External meets

Hi all,

It has been brought to my attention that we have swimmers in the club
entering meets outside the competition calendar without the coaches or head
coaches permission.

Please can I kindly remind all swimmers and parents that in order to enter
meets outside the calendar that it should be discussed with the swimmers
coach to make sure that it fits around the training programme and also to
ensure they are NOT over competing.

If swimmers are chasing times within 1-2 seconds of qualifying meets this
should be discussed with the head coach. We plan our meets accordingly to
the British swimming guidelines within the Long Term Athlete Development to
prevent swimmers peaking too early in their swimming careers.

All the competitions are planned to accommodate all levels and swimmers
should not need to seek competitions outside the Calendar unless with the
above reason stated.

BOBSC Bulletin: British Championships 1016

Hi all,

If you are all not aware, next week the British Championships are being held
in Glasgow.

This year the trials have pretty been tough to qualify for as this is also
being held as the Olympic Trials to determine who will represent the country
in Rio this summer for the 2016 Olympic Games!!!

Thomas Speed from our A squad will travelling up on Sunday afternoon after
qualifying in the 100m Breaststroke Tuesday morning. This is such an
exciting time for Thomas's swimming career and for the club also with Tom
being our first Olympic trialist.

I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Tom the very best of luck on
Tuesday morning. This is a well deserved and outstanding achievement and
shows what dedication and hard work can accomplish!

Good luck Tom!!!
