BOBSC Bulletin: Sponsored swim

Hi Everyone

Polite reminder for those who are not yet aware of the date for the clubs annual sponsored swim. The committee have chosen this year to hold the event on Sunday 13th March @ Hoyland leisure centre. Judy Harratt, Lynne Smith & Geoff Waller will be giving out further details including sponsor forms tomorrow night at Hoyland. This year`s event will have a new twist with the swimmers encouraged to carry out the sponsored swim in their pyjamas the club will be putting up some small prizes for those who help raise the most money.

We will be using some of the money raised towards procuring some new lane ropes which are in urgent need of repair. We have recently received a small funding grant from the local council which has been allocated towards the repairs unfortunately we are still way short to repair all the damaged ropes.

We do hope you will join us and help towards raising the remaining monies

Many Thanks

The Committee

Kind Regards

Geoff Waller

BOBSC Bulletin: Fundraising

We are holding a sponsored swim on Sunday 13th March at Hoyland. Forms will be made available tomorrow night at Hoyland. We will also display a list for participants on the notice board at Dearnside or see Judy / Sarah if you are able to take part.

This will take place at the same time as your usual Sunday training session and be a good opportunity to try some distance swimming.

Also for those who would like to take part we are holding Easter Bonnet competition and paint hard boiled egg as well as bun sale for Easter Weekend.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be selling raffle tickets for our traditional Easter Egg draw, any egg donations welcome.

We are also pleased to advise that we have successfully been granted £250 towards equipment which will go towards replacing lane ropes.

Judy and Sarah
