BOBSC Bulletin: Swimming with ear problems

Sent from my iPhoneHi all,

During your swimming careers you are always going to suffer with an injury
or infection at some point but it's how we deal with it and how we can
prevent it happening that is the main thing to consider!

For example, we prevent muscle injuries by stretching before we get in the
water and have long warm ups when we do get in the water!

When it comes to our ears we can only protect them by wearing a swimming cap
or ear plugs bought over the counter which doesn't always keep the water
out.

If you suffer from reoccurring infections in your ears it may be worth
considering ear plugs that are custom made to prevent infections or making
them worse. Below is an advertisement and price list from barnsley hospital
kindly passed on off one of A squad parents.
